Aims and Objectives

  • To offer education and quality vocational training to young people with learning difficulties and other disabilities where they can develop their own individual potential abilities.
  • To offer social guidance and support towards cultivating a dignified way of living for the disabled teenagers.
  • To promote as much independence as possible.
  • To instil a sense of self-confidence and ability to achieve

Legodimo Youth Training

Provision of Services

Learners at Legodimo participate in an accredited training programme that includes life skills training and pre-vocational training in preparation for the vocational training offered at Motse wa Badiri. The students are exposed to different working environments that include:

• The Tea Garden
• Swimming
• Domestic Chores
• The Orchard
• Integrated Kindergarten
• Catering

Training

Foundation Entry Three

Personal Social Development:
Learning to communicate and develop interpersonal skills

Learners are encouraged to have personal leadership in decision making.

Functional Skills Learning:
Basic communication skills which include reading and writing as well as basic computer skills.

Pre-Vocational Training:
This includes the horticulture programme where learners participate in different horticultural activities which include maintenance of the orchard and hospitality activities which include Legodimo catering & conference centre.
